Our skin is the largest organ of our body, our first impression to the world even before words are exchanged. Over time, I’ve cultivated a profound reverence and respect for my body and skin, recognising how they allow me to navigate the world each day. This journey towards self-love, acceptance, and compassion has been a practice, one that I’ve nurtured through daily rituals centred around products I’ve created with intention.

Venturing into clean beauty two decades ago, I encountered a scarcity of truly clean products. Many available options were laden with chemicals, greasy textures, and overpowering scents, none of which aligned with my skin’s needs. Amidst the current wave of “clean” and “organic” beauty brands, I’ve remained steadfast in my commitment to uncompromising quality. Drawing from my studies in Nutritional Medicine and Western Herbal Medicine, I’ve developed formulations rooted in whole plants and stable fats. With my very high standards guiding me, I embarked on a journey to create products that not only met but exceeded my expectations, ensuring that nothing less than exceptional would suffice.

My journey began with crafting simple products like a calming salve and sun salve, which gradually expanded to encompass a range of essentials, all handcrafted in my home. The foundation of my creations has always been rooted in the healing properties of plants and flowers, steering clear of harmful chemicals and preservatives. Today, every product at The Ritual is a testament to my dedication to quality and authenticity.

Despite the challenges, I’ve persisted in my vision, self-funding The Ritual from its inception with just $200. Every creation is made with food-grade organic ingredients, reflecting my belief that what goes on our skin should be safe enough to eat. As a one-woman operation, I personally handcraft each product, ensuring the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.

Looking ahead, I envision a future where The Ritual continues to flourish, nestled within a space surrounded by medicinal gardens and wildflowers. This dream fuels my passion to expand my offerings and creations, all while maintaining the authenticity and integrity that defines The Ritual.
