NOTES ON LOVE

NOTES ON LOVE
As we navigate a month in which the idea of love is ever present, I thought I would share some notes and quotes on the power and beauty that comes from loving oneself and insights into the way love is present throughout our lives and begins and ends with us, with our perception. Take what feels relevant to you.
Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us. The world changes when we change. the world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.⠀
- Marianne Williamson

The Universe provides a cosmic mirror and is very generous in showing us ourselves. And we often see ourselves most clearly in our relationships - the significant other, the partner, the friend, the lover, the business partner, the parent, or child, becomes that person that shows us most who we are in a moment - that person is the most direct, in your face representation of you.

In the Aquarian Age, any relationship challenges can be reduced to one spiritual lesson: to learn to love ourselves unconditionally. When you love yourself, you don't need another person to validate you, to take care of you or to love and accept you. With this, we make the commitment to see and relate only to the light in other people.

Love is a process in which ego is lost and infinity is experienced.

Embrace those people who annoy you, who bring out painful emotions, negativity and judgment from deep inside you. The truth is that those people are not the cause of your painful emotions and negativity.

Love is made up of three unconditional properties in equal measure:⠀
1. Acceptance (of self)
2. Understanding (of self) ⠀
3. Appreciation (of self)

Remove any one of the three and the triangle falls apart. We cannot expect to have someone show these to us, if we do not acknowledge and hold space for them in ourselves.
how you love yourself is⠀
how you teach others to love you⠀
- Rupi Kaur⠀
When you feel and experience selflessness within yourself and you can vibrate for someone, then you are fulfilled with love. This is the highest state of individual consciousness.

Love is our most unifying and empowering common spiritual denominator. The more we ignore its potential to bring greater balance and deeper meaning to human existence, the more likely we are to continue to define history as one long inglorious record of man’s inhumanity to man.
― Aberjhani, Journey through the Power of the Rainbow.

Let’s begin to cultivate the love we desire in ourselves first, and see the entire world open up to us through a different lens.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. — Rumi
You are seen; you are heard; you are loved; you are valued; you are respected.
